HEALTHCARE
The palliative care interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals includes nurses, social workers, certified nursing assistants, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, chaplains, dieticians, pharmacists and physicians. Each individual from a distinctive discipline provides a unique perspective when caring for a person with a life limiting illness and their family.
The Life Quality Institute offers a variety of education and training sessions around common palliative and end-of-life care topics. Educators from LQI will meet with session organizers to identify:
- Key objectives (what do you hope to gain?)
- Optimal teaching methods
- Outcome measures
